Description
Gloss Maintenance Wax for Terracotta, Natural Stone and Cement-Based Agglomerates – REFIX LUCIDO
REFIX LUCIDO is a gloss maintenance wax for terracotta, natural stone and absorbent cement-based agglomerates that have already been treated and are located indoors. It is designed for the periodic maintenance of wax-treated surfaces. Regular use helps preserve the protective and aesthetic properties of the original gloss finish. It also renews the surface protection affected by normal wear.
When to Use It
REFIX LUCIDO is ideal for the maintenance of treated terracotta floors, absorbent natural stone and cement-based agglomerates with a gloss finish. Use it on indoor surfaces already protected with finishing emulsions, such as those from the IDROFIN range. It is particularly useful when the surface needs periodic renewal of its protective layer while maintaining the gloss of the existing treatment.
What It Does
This gloss maintenance wax helps preserve the protective and aesthetic properties of the original finish over time. It renews the surface protection and makes treated surfaces easier to clean and maintain. Moreover, it does not create a film or glossy coating. Instead, it helps maintain the appearance of the existing finish.
How It Works
The water-based formula of REFIX LUCIDO contains vegetable waxes, mineral waxes and resins. This formulation allows the product to spread evenly over an already treated surface. Its self-levelling properties also make application easier. As a result, REFIX LUCIDO can evenly renew the protection of the gloss finish affected by normal wear.
Periodic Maintenance
REFIX LUCIDO is specifically designed to maintain an existing gloss finish. Periodic application helps renew the surface protection and makes routine cleaning easier on surfaces exposed to normal foot traffic. Therefore, it maintains the existing treatment without replacing the original finish.
Maintaining the Gloss
Once dry, REFIX LUCIDO can be dry polished to increase and maintain the surface gloss. Polishing can also help remove marks caused by foot traffic. In this way, the surface retains the appearance of its gloss finish over time.
Specific Uses
REFIX LUCIDO is suitable for already treated, absorbent indoor surfaces made of terracotta, natural stone and cement-based agglomerates with a gloss finish. Its water-based formula is easy to use and is not classified as hazardous. It also leaves a pleasant fragrance in the room and helps make routine surface cleaning easier over time.
Maintenance Frequency
The recommended maintenance frequency with REFIX LUCIDO depends on foot traffic and surface wear. For heavily used areas, such as shops, public premises, bars, restaurants, kitchens, entrances and bathrooms, apply the product every 4–6 months. For areas with limited foot traffic, such as bedrooms and living rooms, maintenance can generally be carried out every 12 months.
Technical Limitations
REFIX LUCIDO is intended exclusively for the maintenance of already treated, absorbent mineral surfaces located indoors. To preserve the existing finish, avoid strongly alkaline cleaners, ammonia-based cleaners and solvents when cleaning surfaces maintained with REFIX LUCIDO.
How to use
REFIX LUCIDO should be applied to clean and completely dry surfaces. Before use, shake the product well to ensure an even distribution of the maintenance wax.
- Apply the product in small amounts to the surface to be maintained.
- Spread it evenly with a soft cloth or a wax applicator.
- Allow the product to dry and do not walk on the surface during the drying process.
The product has an approximate drying time of 30–60 minutes and reaches full curing in about 2 hours.
Dry Polishing
Once dry, REFIX LUCIDO can be dry polished to increase and maintain the surface gloss or to remove marks caused by foot traffic. For polishing, use:
- a wool cloth;
- a floor polisher with felt pads;
- red hand pads;
- a single-disc floor machine with red discs.
Application Frequency
How often REFIX LUCIDO should be applied depends on foot traffic and surface wear:
- Every 4–6 months on heavily trafficked surfaces subject to significant wear, such as shops, public premises, bars, restaurants, kitchens, entrances and bathrooms.
- Every 12 months on surfaces with limited foot traffic, such as bedrooms and living rooms.
Approximate Coverage
With 1 litre of REFIX LUCIDO, you can maintain approximately 30–40 m² of surface. Coverage is approximate and may vary depending on the surface finish of the material.

What Is REFIX LUCIDO Used For?
REFIX LUCIDO is a gloss maintenance wax for already treated terracotta, natural stone and absorbent cement-based agglomerates. It renews surface protection affected by normal wear and helps preserve the protective and aesthetic properties of the original gloss finish over time.
Why Use REFIX LUCIDO on Wax-Treated Floors?
Normal use and foot traffic can gradually wear down the surface protection of the existing treatment. REFIX LUCIDO renews this protection periodically, helps maintain the gloss finish and makes treated surfaces easier to clean and maintain.
What Is the Difference Between REFIX LUCIDO and IDROFIN LUCIDO?
IDROFIN LUCIDO is a gloss finishing wax used to complete the initial surface treatment, while REFIX LUCIDO is a gloss maintenance wax for surfaces that have already been treated. REFIX LUCIDO is therefore used periodically to renew surface protection and preserve the existing gloss finish over time.
Which Surfaces Can REFIX LUCIDO Be Used On?
REFIX LUCIDO is suitable for already treated, absorbent mineral surfaces indoors, including terracotta, natural stone and cement-based agglomerates with a gloss finish.
Does REFIX LUCIDO Help Keep Floors Glossy?
Yes. REFIX LUCIDO is specifically designed to maintain gloss finishes and helps preserve their appearance over time. Once dry, it can also be dry polished to increase and maintain the surface gloss.
Can REFIX LUCIDO Be Polished After Application?
Yes. Once dry, the surface can be dry polished to increase the gloss or remove marks caused by foot traffic. You can use a wool cloth, a floor polisher with felt pads, red hand pads or a single-disc floor machine with red floor pads.
How Often Should REFIX LUCIDO Be Applied?
Application frequency depends on foot traffic and surface wear. On heavily trafficked surfaces, such as shops, public premises, bars, restaurants, kitchens, entrances and bathrooms, apply REFIX LUCIDO every 4–6 months. On areas with limited foot traffic, such as bedrooms and living rooms, it can generally be applied every 12 months.
How Do You Apply REFIX LUCIDO?
Shake the product before use, then apply a small amount to a clean and dry surface. Spread it evenly with a soft cloth or wax applicator. Do not walk on the surface while the product is drying.
