Description
Porcelain Tile Stain Protection Treatment – ANTISPORCO
ANTISPORCO is a professional stain protection treatment designed to reduce the absorption of porcelain tiles and porcelain stoneware surfaces while protecting them from everyday dirt and staining.
Many homeowners look for a porcelain tile wax to achieve this result. However, ANTISPORCO® provides a more advanced technical solution. It creates an invisible barrier that does not form a surface film and does not alter the appearance of the material. As a result, it is ideal for matte, polished and lapped porcelain tiles and offers a reliable, long-lasting protective treatment for porcelain tiles when floors tend to become stained or dirty quickly.
Its water-based, odourless formula is easy to apply and suitable for residential environments. In addition, it protects both the surface and the grout joints, making routine cleaning easier and reducing the need for aggressive detergents.
Why Do Porcelain Tiles Get Dirty So Easily?
Porcelain tiles are extremely durable and widely used in both residential and commercial environments. However, matte and textured finishes can retain dirt, dust and greasy contaminants more easily than smoother surfaces.
This behaviour is linked to the material’s surface micro-porosity, which can allow substances such as:
- kitchen grease and cooking vapours
- foot traffic dirt
- organic residues
- unsuitable cleaning products that leave build-up
Over time, the surface may appear less uniform and become more prone to staining.
The Problem: Dirt Trapped in Micropores and More Difficult Maintenance
Without adequate protection, contaminants gradually penetrate the material’s micropores. Consequently, this may lead to:
- persistent stains
- localized absorption marks
- darker grout joints
- more frequent cleaning requirements
This issue becomes particularly noticeable in kitchens and high-traffic areas, where dirt accumulates every day.
The Solution: Invisible Protection Without a Surface Film
To reduce absorption effectively, it is essential to apply a product that protects the surface without creating visible coatings.
ANTISPORCO® forms an invisible protective barrier that limits dirt penetration and makes maintenance easier. Furthermore, it does not change the finish, increase gloss levels or require periodic stripping treatments.
Is ANTISPORCO a Wax for Matte Porcelain Tiles?
Many people search for a wax for matte porcelain tiles when looking to protect their floors. Traditional waxes, however, create a surface film that can alter the appearance of the material and often require future wax-removal treatments.
ANTISPORCO® is not a film-forming wax. Instead, it provides advanced protection without affecting the original appearance of the surface. Therefore, it represents a more effective and modern alternative to conventional surface coatings.
Recommended Applications
ANTISPORCO® is suitable for protecting:
- matte porcelain tile floors and wall coverings
- polished and lapped porcelain tile surfaces
- textured and slip-resistant finishes
- areas exposed to frequent dirt accumulation
- grout joints exposed to contamination
It is especially useful in kitchens, entrances, hallways and living areas.
Key Benefits
The product:
- reduces surface absorption
- protects grout joints
- simplifies routine cleaning
- helps limit dirt build-up
- reduces the need for aggressive detergents
As a result, surfaces remain easier to maintain and retain a more uniform appearance over time.
How It Works
The formula penetrates the surface micropores and reduces their absorption capacity. Consequently, contaminants remain closer to the surface and can be removed more easily during routine cleaning.
Durability
The treatment typically lasts 6–12 months, depending on:
- foot traffic intensity
- cleaning frequency
- the type of cleaning products used
You can reapply the treatment periodically to maintain consistent performance and protection.
Professional Advice
For the best results, always apply the product to a perfectly clean surface free from residues and build-up.
For optimal preparation, apply ANTISPORCO® after a deep stain-removal cleaning with POWER DET® or after periodic deep cleaning with GRES LINDO®. This ensures the surface is properly prepared before protection.
Proper surface preparation helps deliver a more uniform finish and longer-lasting results.
Technical Limitations
ANTISPORCO® is not a cleaner and does not remove existing stains or contamination. If the surface shows heavy staining, haze or significant build-up, first carry out an appropriate deep-cleaning treatment.
Please note that durability may decrease when unsuitable cleaning products are used frequently.
Useful Resources for Getting the Best Results with ANTISPORCO
To maximize the effectiveness of the treatment, it is important to apply ANTISPORCO to properly cleaned surfaces and follow the recommended maintenance procedures. This helps preserve long-lasting stain protection while making routine cleaning easier and more effective.

How to use
ANTISPORCO is a ready-to-use stain protection treatment for porcelain tiles.
It can be applied in two main situations:
- initial application after post-installation cleaning or deep stain-removal cleaning with POWER DET®
- maintenance application every 6–12 months after periodic deep cleaning with GRES LINDO®
After Post-Installation Cleaning or Deep Cleaning with POWER DET®
The first application is recommended when porcelain tiles have been newly installed or when the surface needs to be restored by removing contamination, residues and embedded dirt.
Before applying ANTISPORCO®, perform a deep stain-removal cleaning with POWER DET®, rinse thoroughly and allow the surface to dry completely.
Periodic Maintenance Application
Reapplication is generally recommended every 6–12 months, depending on:
- foot traffic intensity
- cleaning frequency
- indoor or outdoor exposure
- the specific environment (kitchen, hallway, bathroom, entrance area, etc.)
Before reapplying the treatment, carry out a periodic deep cleaning with GRES LINDO®. This removes household residues and light contamination while preparing the surface for optimal protection.
Application Procedure
- Shake well before use.
- Apply the product only to perfectly clean and dry surfaces.
- Spray small amounts of ANTISPORCO directly onto the surface.
- Spread evenly using a soft cloth, avoiding excess product.
- The surface dries in approximately 10–15 minutes and can then be walked on.
- Maximum stain protection develops after approximately 12 hours. During this period, avoid washing the surface with water.
- If any excess product remains after drying, remove it by wiping the area with a cloth lightly dampened with ANTISPORCO®.
Coverage Rate
The coverage of ANTISPORCO® varies depending on:
- the type of porcelain tile finish
- the level of surface micro-porosity
- the absorption characteristics of the surface
- the application method (amount applied and distribution uniformity)
Under normal conditions, the average coverage rate is:
750 ml = 30–40 m²
However, coverage may decrease on more porous or heavily textured surfaces.
Coverage on R11 Slip-Resistant Porcelain Tiles
R11 slip-resistant porcelain tiles feature a rougher finish and a more pronounced surface texture. As a result, they absorb more product.
Average coverage:
750 ml = 20–30 m²
Coverage on Matte Porcelain Tiles
Matte porcelain tiles have moderate micro-porosity, which can increase the absorption of both contaminants and protective treatments. Therefore, they generally require an intermediate amount of product.
Average coverage:
750 ml = 30–40 m²
Coverage on Polished Porcelain Tiles
Polished porcelain tiles are typically less absorbent and more compact. Consequently, they require less product than matte or textured finishes.
Average coverage:
750 ml = 40–60 m²
Technical Note
Highly absorbent or heavily textured porcelain tile surfaces may require a slightly higher amount of product or an additional application, which can reduce the overall coverage rate.

What Is ANTISPORCO Used For?
ANTISPORCO® is designed to protect porcelain tiles and grout joints by reducing the absorption of dirt, stains and everyday contaminants. It creates an invisible protective barrier that does not form a surface film, making porcelain tile surfaces easier to clean during routine maintenance.
How Do You Apply ANTISPORCO?
Apply ANTISPORCO® only to surfaces that are perfectly clean, degreased and completely dry, preferably after deep cleaning with POWER DET® or GRES LINDO®. Spray a small amount of product onto the surface and spread it evenly with a soft cloth, creating a thin and uniform protective layer.
Why Is ANTISPORCO Recommended Before Grouting?
Applying ANTISPORCO® before grouting helps prevent grout residues and construction dust from penetrating the micropores of porcelain tiles. This is particularly beneficial when using coloured grouts, as it reduces the risk of pigment absorption and makes post-installation cleaning easier. After post-installation cleaning with POWER DET®, ANTISPORCO® should be reapplied to restore protection.
How Can Old ANTISPORCO Residues Be Removed Before Reapplying the Treatment?
