29 May 2026 Oak Parquet Restoration in Italy: Post-Construction Intervention by EASY PARKET

Can an oak parquet floor stained by moisture and construction residue be restored without sanding? That was the challenge faced by EASY PARKET by Francesco Ghelardi during this project in Prato, Tuscany, Italy. The floor, installed throughout the bedrooms and hallway of a private home, showed dark stains caused by moisture trapped under a nylon covering during masonry work, together with typical post-construction dirt and residue. Thanks to a technical and conservative approach, the surface was restored without sanding. This choice preserved the original micro-bevel of the parquet and brought back the natural beauty of the wood.

18 May 2026 Marble Staircase Restoration and Polishing in Italy | EcoTecnologia di Pulitura

An old marble staircase can gradually lose its shine due to foot traffic, scratches, dull areas and small damaged sections that develop over time. However, when the material is still structurally sound, a professional restoration process can restore the surface’s visual appeal without replacing the original marble. In this project carried out in the historic center of Pistoia in Italy, EcoTecnologia di Pulitura by Orsucci Paolo repaired the damaged sections and professionally polished a marble staircase. The surface regained a more uniform, brighter and refined appearance.

15 April 2026 Travertine Stair Restoration in Italy: Craft Intervention on a Weathered Outdoor Surface

Inside a residential complex in Lucca, in Italy, an outdoor travertine staircase showed clear signs of advanced deterioration. Over time, constant exposure to rain, humidity and weather conditions led to heavy contamination from algae, mould and biological buildup. As a result, the surface became dark, uneven and slippery. Consequently, both aesthetics and safety declined. In cases like this, simple cleaning does not solve the issue. Instead, professionals need a structured craft restoration process, carried out with care and precision. EcoTecnologia di Pulitura by Orsucci Paolo handled the intervention. The company specialises in the professional restoration of natural stone surfaces.

24 June 2025 How to Remove Mould and Lichens from Outdoor Terracotta: Intervention in a Villa in Tuscany with ALGANET®

In a villa located in the Tuscan countryside, a restoration was carried out on an outdoor terracotta floor, which had deteriorated due to mould, lichens, moss, and black stains caused by moisture. The main goal was to effectively remove mould and lichens and protect the material over time.

During the cleaning phase, the team used ALGANET®—a professional stain remover specifically formulated to eliminate biological colonies from terracotta and stone surfaces. The treatment successfully removed even the most stubborn encrustations without damaging the material.

Afterwards, they applied TIM®—a transparent and breathable protective product designed to prevent the future formation of mould, stains, and new lichens. This product has the advantage of preserving the aesthetic appearance of terracotta while maintaining its breathability.
The final result is a fully restored terracotta surface: clean, protected, easy to maintain, and resistant to atmospheric agents. This intervention stands as a concrete example of how to remove mould and lichens in a long-lasting and professional way, thanks to Marbec products.

17 June 2025 Cleaning Outdoor Tuscan Cotto in Italy: Artisan Work in a Villa

The cleaning of outdoor Tuscan cotto in Pistoia, Tuscany, Italy involved the floor of a villa set in the Tuscan countryside. The surface was made of handmade cotto and was heavily affected by mould, lichens, moss and darkening. Over time, constant exposure to the weather and the high porosity of the material accelerated the deterioration of the surface. For this reason, a targeted artisan intervention on outdoor Tuscan cotto was needed. The work was carried out by DELTA Special Applications with the goal of restoring the floor without changing its original appearance or material character.
