Description
PROBLEMS WITH PORCELAIN TILES
1 – Persistent stains that can be seen against the light or particularly stained floors
Very often porcelain tiles floors are cleaned in post-construction or extraordinary cleaning with unsuitable products, such as: general and multi-surface descaling agents, vinegar or ordinary cleaning products.
This type of cleaning involves no or partial removal of resinous patinas due to the laying phase (grouting of the joints) or to the porcelain tiles manufacturer (many porcelain tiles manufacturers apply a protective surface film for storing the tiles in the cartons). These patinas partially degrade with acid and alkaline substances commonly used in daily life (eg descaling agent, coca-cola, wine, sparkling wine, lemon, vomit and urine, etc.), making the surface appear very dirty and with persistent stains, which are especially noticeable against the light.
2 – The floor always looks dirty, footprints remain and is easily stained even with water
This problem is due to the use of unsuitable detergents. Porcelain tiles itself does not stain, but the use of non-specific detergents makes the surface greasy and easily stainable even with water, facilitating the deposit of daily dirt.
This is also noticeable when mopping. The surface does not dry evenly, the water “slips” and very often stains easily, even with bare feet and drops of water, creating lighter spots than the surrounding surface.
3 – Limestone deposits due to domestic water present in some areas of the Italian territory
Another problem that causes these problems is limescale, caused by the washing water. In some areas of Italy the water is very calcareous and the latter, just as it attaches to the taps, also attaches to the floors, creating a patina that incorporates dirt, making the floor gray and opaque and easily staining.

POST-CONSTRUCTION CLEANING
Apply the pure product POWER DET to remove consistent and stubborn slurry residues, accumulations of dirt, and deteriorated and stained shiny patinas.
ONE-OFF EXTRAORDINARY BOTTOM CLEANING
First of all, it is always recommended to carry out an extraordinary cleaning with the product POWER DET (diluted 50% in water) combined with the BLUE BUFFER, in order to thoroughly clean the floor and return to an optimal situation.
ANTI-STAIN TREATMENT
Once the surface has been perfectly cleaned, it is possible to carry out an anti-stain and anti-dirt treatment, which facilitates ordinary cleaning of the floor, with the product ANTISPORCO.
If applied before grouting porcelain tiles floors, it prevents the grout from settling in the micropores of the material, significantly facilitating post-construction cleaning.
The product must be reapplied periodically, even only in delimited areas of the flooring, depending on the washing and foot traffic of the surface (generally 6-12 months).
ORDINARY CLEANING MATT PORCELAIN TILES
Apply the product GRES LINDO to keep the surface clean and degreased and prevent the patina from forming.
The concentration of use depends on the type of dirt to be removed.
Dosages:
• Dilute 170-250cc (a glass) of GRES LINDO in 5 liters of water: for extraordinary degreasing and descaling cleaning or to eliminate deposits left by the use of calcareous water for domestic use.
• Dilute 20-50cc (about one or half coffee cup) of GRES LINDO in 5lt of water: for the ordinary cleaning of porcelain tiles surfaces in general. Furthermore, it is recommended for the degreasing cleaning of polished or lapped porcelain tiles, to be carried out 1-2 times a month. It is applied like a normal detergent with a microfiber cloth or mop. In this dilution, it is also possible to use washer-dryers. If traces of detergent remain, increase the dilution.
To prevent the formation of limescale due to the hardness of domestic water, it is recommended to clean the surface using the product GRES BRILL diluted 20-50cc in 5lt of water one or more times a month depending on the hardness of the water.
ORDINARY CLEANING OF GLOSSY PORCELAIN TILES
Apply the product GRES BRILL to remove dirt, graying, and halos due to limescale, restoring the material to its original color.
Dosages:
• Dilute 170-250 cc (about a glass) of GRES BRILL in 5lt of water: for an extraordinary cleaning on very haloed porcelain tiles and where there is very calcareous water.
• Dilute 20-50 cc (about half a coffee cup) of GRES BRILL in 5 liters of water: for the ordinary cleaning of polished or lapped porcelain tiles floors. In addition, it is recommended to use it for the descaling cleaning of opaque porcelain tiles, to be carried out 1-2 times a month.
It is applied like a normal detergent with a microfiber cloth or mop. In this dilution, it is also possible to use washer-dryers. If traces of detergent remain, increase the dilution.
It is recommended to clean the surface using the product GRES LINDO diluted 20-50cc in 5lt of water once or twice a month to prevent the formation of greasy patinas due to pollution and greasy cooking fumes from the kitchen on polished porcelain tiles.
