Description
Reviving Impregnating Treatment for Window Frames and Shutters – OLIO RAVVIVANTE
Over time, deteriorated window frames and shutters tend to fade, become dull, or turn grey due to sun, rain, and weather exposure. As a result, surfaces lose their original appearance. In these cases, using a reviving impregnating oil for window frames and shutters helps restore the look without invasive work. OLIO RAVVIVANTE is a reviving and restorative oil-wax impregnating treatment for painted wood. It is also suitable for painted aluminum and wrought iron. Therefore, it is ideal for reviving and evening out degraded surfaces.
When to use it
OLIO RAVVIVANTE is ideal for restoring greyed, faded, or dull window frames and shutters, such as doors, windows, shutters, and blinds. In particular, it works well when surfaces appear uneven and worn. This often happens due to weather exposure. It can be used on painted or oiled wood as well as on painted metals.
What it does
OLIO RAVVIVANTE works as a restorative treatment for deteriorated window frames. It restores the original color, even in heavily damaged areas. In addition, it acts as a reviving impregnating oil for painted wood. It nourishes the material and improves surface uniformity. Moreover, it helps protect the substrate without forming surface films.
How it works
The formula is an impregnating oil-wax dispersion based on drying oils and waxes. It penetrates the material and enhances its appearance. At the same time, it does not form surface films. As a result, the treatment does not peel or flake over time. Therefore, it ensures a more stable restoration compared to film-forming products. Application is simple. Consequently, you obtain a uniform and naturally revived finish.
Operational advantage
Using OLIO RAVVIVANTE allows you to restore window frames and shutters without sanding or full repainting. This simplifies maintenance operations. At the same time, it enables targeted interventions on deteriorated areas.
Specific uses
OLIO RAVVIVANTE is suitable for:
- Restoring painted or oiled wooden frames
Revives color and evens out greyed or faded surfaces - Regenerating painted aluminum frames
Restores the appearance of sun-damaged coatings - Treatment of painted wrought iron
Improves uniformity and surface aesthetics - Maintenance of doors, windows, and shutters
Ideal for periodic aesthetic restoration
Durability
The treatment helps restore and even out surface appearance. In addition, it improves resistance to weather over time. However, for longer-lasting protection, it is recommended to complete the system with a specific protective finish against moisture and UV rays.
Technical limitations
OLIO RAVVIVANTE must be applied on clean and dry surfaces. It does not form protective surface films. Therefore, it does not replace full coating systems in cases of structural damage. The product is not water-soluble. It has an indicative drying time of 12–24 hours, depending on environmental conditions.

How to use
The product is ready to use and must be applied on clean and dry surfaces.
For a uniform and long-lasting result, it is essential to properly prepare the surface before application.
On wooden surfaces, it is recommended to first clean with SMACCHIA INFISSI and BLUE BUFFER PAD, followed by a degreasing clean using PULI INFISSI and WHITE BUFFER PAD.
For aluminum or iron frames, cleaning with PULI INFISSI and WHITE BUFFER PAD is sufficient.
- Shake well before use
Ensure the product is properly mixed before application. - Apply OLIO RAVVIVANTE in small amounts
Use a soft microfiber cloth and spread evenly across the surface. - Work the product into the surface
Rub following the material absorption until you achieve a uniform, slightly damp finish, avoiding excess product.
The product typically dries within 12–24 hours, depending on temperature and ventilation.
After application, it is recommended not to pile up cloths, sponges, or materials soaked with product.
To prevent the risk of self-combustion, wet them with water before disposal.
Coverage
Coverage may vary depending on the level of deterioration, material absorption, and application method.
With 1 liter, the approximate coverage is:
- Light deterioration
On slightly dull or faded window frames, 1 liter covers approx. 90–100 m², equal to about 10–15 standard frames including windows and shutters. - Moderate deterioration
On greyed or uneven surfaces, 1 liter covers approx. 70–90 m², corresponding to about 7–10 frames, depending on wood absorption. - Severely deteriorated or absorbent surfaces
On dry, faded, or heavily exposed wood, coverage may decrease and consumption increase, requiring more product to achieve an even result.
The indicated values are approximate estimates and may vary depending on frame size, material (wood, aluminum, or iron), and level of deterioration.
