Gloss Varnished Parquet Renovation Finish – LIGNOLIFE®
LIGNOLIFE® is a water-based resin-wax finish formulated with carnauba wax, specifically developed to restore gloss varnished parquet and other indoor varnished wood surfaces. It restores colour, shine and long-lasting protection to worn and dull varnished finishes without the need for re-varnishing, provided the original coating is still present. Thanks to its self-polishing formulation, LIGNOLIFE® enhances the appearance of gloss varnished parquet while improving the durability of the existing finish.
Over time, gloss varnished parquet can lose its shine due to foot traffic, regular cleaning and everyday wear. When the surface looks dull, worn or faded but the varnish is still intact, LIGNOLIFE® renews the existing finish, restoring its appearance and increasing its resistance to dirt, water, cleaning products and daily foot traffic.
When to use
LIGNOLIFE® is recommended for:
- restoring dull and worn gloss varnished parquet;
- renewing the finish of indoor gloss varnished wood surfaces;
- gloss varnished parquet floors;
- gloss varnished wood wall coverings;
- gloss varnished wooden furniture;
- gloss varnished interior doors and window frames.
What it does
LIGNOLIFE® is a specialised renovation finish for gloss varnished parquet that:
- restores colour and shine to dull and worn surfaces;
- creates a renewed, uniform gloss finish;
- forms a new protective film over the existing varnish;
- improves resistance to foot traffic, dirt, water and household detergents;
- is self-polishing and does not require mechanical polishing;
- is easy to maintain with regular cleaning using PULIBRILL® and periodic maintenance with BEAUTY FLOOR.
How it works
LIGNOLIFE® is formulated with a water-based emulsion of carnauba wax and resins, specifically designed to renew gloss varnished wood finishes. Once applied to a clean and properly prepared surface, it forms a new glossy protective film that enhances the appearance of the existing varnish while increasing its resistance to everyday wear.
For best results, apply two thin coats following the application instructions.
Key advantage
LIGNOLIFE® offers a quick and effective way to restore gloss varnished parquet and other indoor varnished wood surfaces. It improves both appearance and protection without the need for re-varnishing, provided the original varnish layer is still intact.
When it is not suitable
LIGNOLIFE® is not a substitute for re-varnishing where the original varnish has been completely worn away. If the wood is exposed, for example in grey worn areas or where water is directly absorbed into the wood, the surface must first be restored by re-varnishing.
Technical advice
Before applying LIGNOLIFE®, thoroughly deep clean the surface with PULIBRILL® and WHITE PAD to remove dirt, residues and contaminants that could reduce the adhesion of the new protective film.
To preserve the restored finish over time, regularly clean the surface with PULIBRILL® and apply BEAUTY FLOOR every 6–12 months as part of routine maintenance.
How to use
LIGNOLIFE® is a water-based resin-wax finish for restoring gloss varnished parquet and indoor varnished wood surfaces. For a uniform and long-lasting result, the surface must be properly prepared and the product applied in thin coats.
Surface preparation
Before applying LIGNOLIFE®, carry out a deep cleaning treatment with PULIBRILL® and WHITE PAD to degrease the surface and remove dirt, residues and contaminants that could affect the adhesion of the finish.
Application
- Shake well before use.
- Apply 2 coats of LIGNOLIFE® using a wax applicator fleece, a microfibre cloth or a sponge.
- Spread the product in a thin, even coat, ensuring complete coverage without leaving excess material on the surface.
- Apply the second coat as soon as the first coat is dry.
- Allow the treatment to dry. Under normal conditions and in a well-ventilated area, the product dries in approximately 2–3 hours.
Precautions
- Do not apply the product to cold surfaces (below 7 °C).
- Avoid application on excessively hot surfaces, such as heated floors in operation or surfaces exposed to direct sunlight.
- Do not apply with a brush or roller.
- For indoor use only.
Coverage
Approximate coverage:
- 1 litre covers 30–40 m² per coat.
Actual coverage may vary depending on the absorbency of the surface and the application method.

Is LIGNOLIFE® a wax or a varnish?
LIGNOLIFE® is not a varnish. It is a resin-wax renovation finish that restores and protects the existing varnish. It is designed for surfaces where the original varnish is still intact but has become dull or worn through everyday use.
Does LIGNOLIFE® remove scratches from parquet?
LIGNOLIFE® does not remove deep scratches and is not a substitute for re-varnishing. It forms a new protective film that helps reduce the visual appearance of light surface scratches and micro-abrasions, leaving the finish more even and glossy.
How often should LIGNOLIFE® be reapplied?
LIGNOLIFE® is a renovation treatment and does not require scheduled reapplication. To preserve the restored finish, clean the surface regularly with PULIBRILL® and apply BEAUTY FLOOR every 6–12 months as part of routine maintenance.
Can LIGNOLIFE® be applied to new parquet?
LIGNOLIFE® is primarily intended for restoring gloss varnished parquet and wood surfaces that have lost their original shine due to everyday wear. In most cases, it is not necessary on new surfaces with an intact varnish.
Is surface preparation necessary before applying LIGNOLIFE®?
Yes. Before application, thoroughly clean the surface with PULIBRILL® and a WHITE PAD to remove dirt, grease and residues that could affect the adhesion and uniformity of the new protective finish.
Can LIGNOLIFE® be used on heavily worn or greyed parquet?
If the original varnish has completely deteriorated and the wood is exposed, LIGNOLIFE® cannot replace a new varnish. However, if sanding is not required, it can be used as the final finish in a restoration process. In these cases, first remove the greyed areas with SMACCHIO LEGNO, deep clean the surface with PULIBRILL®, restore exposed wood with OLIO RAVVIVANTE, and then complete the treatment by applying LIGNOLIFE®.
How should parquet be maintained after applying LIGNOLIFE®?
To preserve the shine and protection provided by LIGNOLIFE®, clean the surface regularly with PULIBRILL® and carry out periodic maintenance with BEAUTY FLOOR. Avoid using strongly alkaline or acidic cleaners and solvent-based products, as they may reduce the durability of the protective finish.
